Silicon Craft participated in “IGNITE Thailand” event: talent development for the semiconductor industry.

On June 17, at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House, Mr. Apinetr Unakul, the co-founder and non-executive director, and Mr. Karn Opasjumruskit, Senior Product-Line Manager (Security) at Silicon Craft Technology PLC, participated in the presentation of the vision “IGNITE Thailand : Future Workforce for Future Industry,” organized by the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior chaired the event as assigned by Prime Minister Mr. Srettha Thavisin. Executives from both the public and private sectors attended.

 

 

The presentation focused on introducing plans for producing and developing a workforce to support investment in 3 new industries with a highly skilled workforce, including the semiconductor and advanced electronics sectors which Silicon Craft actively contributes to and supports. The government is prepared to support learning initiatives, such as developing semiconductor sandbox curricula at undergraduate and graduate levels in 15 universities. Set a goal to produce 80,000 semiconductor workers within 5 years, aiming to elevate the country to become a global industrial hub and drive Thailand’s economy towards sustainable future growth.
