Dr. Bodin Kasemset, CEO of Silicon Craft, served as a panelist in the event “CEO Club 2024” at the Stock Exchange of Thailand

Dr. Bodin Kasemset, Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Craft Technology PLC, was honored to participate as a distinguished panelist at the CEO Club 2024: Building and Managing Organizational Innovation, held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).

The session showcased Silicon Craft as a prime example of an innovation-driven organization. Dr. Bodin shared his insights and experiences alongside Dr. Buranin Rattanasombat, Chief New Business and Sustainability Officer at PTT Public Company Limited. The session was moderated by Dr. Mayookapan Chaimankong, Project Director Sasin Management Consulting (SMC). The event drew CEOs and C-Level executives from various industries, all eager to explore how innovation can drive sustainable growth.

The event commenced with an opening address by Mr. Asadej Kongsiri, Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Dr. Bodin highlighted Silicon Craft’s award-winning innovations, including the SIC4343, a cutting-edge wireless microchip for bio and chemical substance measurements, and the Universal Transponder for All Vehicle Access (ULTX), a pioneering microchip solution for automotive immobilizer systems. These innovations earned the company the Innovative Company Awards at the SET Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Mr. Manop continued, “I hope to see intensive investment in research and development. If we want to leap forward, we need collaboration between the government and the private sector, along with a clear roadmap to significantly improve the upstream industry, build an ecosystem, and harness the potential of people in the country. Additionally, we need a mechanism that attracts designers from around the world to jointly create solutions for various challenges. This could start with local contexts, such as smart devices or smart electronics, and then tackle specific problems like intelligent traffic management, smart farms, and industrial automation. Designers can then work on solutions to address these issues.”

Mr. Manop concluded, “The courage we need is the ability to think big and aspire to be a country with global semiconductor designers or players in the semiconductor design field.”

Silicon Craft would like to thank the Standard for organizing “The Standard Economic Forum 2024: Brave New World”, an important platform that provided an opportunity for the private sector to share their vision for driving Thailand toward becoming a global leader in the semiconductor industry. We sincerely hope that support from all sectors will propel Thailand to sustainable success in this future industry.
