On March 13, Silicon Craft Technology PLC participated in the 1st Thailand Microelectronic Design Symposium and Workshop organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and hosted at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). Within the event, Dr. Bodin Kasemset, the CEO, attended a seminar on “Accelerating Chip Design Talent Grooming,” discussing the company’s strategies to support human resources in the semiconductor industry. These strategies include knowledge sharing initiatives, research funding for graduate students in IC design, and collaborative research with leading universities in Thailand and abroad.
Additionally, in the afternoon session, Dr. Amorn Jiraseree-amornkun, Principal Research Engineer at Silicon Craft, presented on “Semiconductor R&D: a Tiger Leap to Escape the Middle-Income Trap,” focusing on Thailand’s semiconductor and microelectronics industry as a pathway for the country to overcome the middle-income trap, which is currently an important issue for the country.
Silicon Craft extends our gratitude to the National Research Council of Thailand and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang for providing opportunities and platforms to enhance the capabilities and potential of Thai individuals in the semiconductor industry. We hope to contribute significantly to elevating Thailand’s semiconductor industry to a global level.
